Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights advocate, writer, model and actor. The actress has won praise by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). New York was her home and she grew up in an environment that was artistic. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. MacGraw was noticed in her two first films and received Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. MacGraw quickly became famous after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was selected for one of the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. She was named the best female box-office star of the world in just three releases. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were immortalized in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and TV miniseries The Winds of War among many others. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw married three people.
