Zoe-perry

Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). The character Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of her two appearances on Roseanne. She did not consider a career in acting until she reached adulthood because her parents were concerned about the adverse effects that stress could cause. Perry she was timid to perform in the school, began performing in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new acquaintances. Perry was able to land tiny TV roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. However, her homesickness led her to California again where she began to work on stage. She and her mother starred on Broadway together in The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she appeared with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning Drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry played nine roles in the ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. In 2017 she had a recurring role on her own ABC political thriller Scandal starring her father. She played a younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off series that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. The role was offered to her through an open audition despite having a connection to the persona.
