Ina Garten is a well-known American cookbook author as well as an Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and has aired 27 seasons until 2020. Ina Garten started her career as a journalist at the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy as well as budget papers. Although she initially found it intellectually stimulating she eventually stopped her interest. Then she bought a Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food retailer. After selling the store, she spent 18 years building it into the most successful shop. Numerous other books as well as magazine articles followed.
